![]() Hello and I hope that all of you, my clients, students and visitors to the site, are really well and having a fantastic, productive 2025 so far. It’s been a while since my last post but for good reason, as it’s been a relentless busy last year or so here in both my vocal coaching and voice consultancy capacity, and over at Voice of the Town too, with lots of exciting musical projects, sessions, workshops and events happening. In that time, I’ve had the pleasure of providing many workshops, masterclasses and staff training sessions for a variety of different organisations, including global alarm provider Verisure, Easyjet, Royal Bank of Scotland/Natwest, and a number of vocal workshops for the new cohort of lecturers at Newcastle University. It’s also been a pleasure to return to work with the hugely talented students in workshops at the likes of the University of Edinburgh and Sage Academy of Performing Arts in Newcastle. Since last posting too, it’s been hugely satisfying and lovely to see the fantastic progress made by my various clients and students. From working with business and educational practitioners in developing their presentational skills, vocal delivery, clarity of speech and strength/stamina, to working with an array of talented singers with varied experience. That’s included working with vocalists from across the UK and Europe (very often online), including relative beginners, students studying for bachelor, masters and post-grad qualifications, to recording artists, TV/Radio personalites and professional musical theatre performers. It’s been busy but, incredibly inspiring and rewarding. In other areas of my work, and away from my voice coaching/consultancy practice, it’s been a really busy period for Voice of the Town. With a host of fantastic shows, events, festivals, and exciting radio/TV opportunities, plus a variety of new musical arrangements to write, it’s been quite the organisational and creative task at times. However, the incredible hard work, energy, and dedication by all involved has helped to ensure it’s been one of our most successful periods to date. As always, we look forward with real excitement to what the future brings and what other opportunities will hopefully come our way. Thanks for reading, I hope your own vocal development is going brilliantly and you’re seeing excellent results. However, if you are looking to further enhance your vocal capabilities, whether it be for the speaking or singing voice, please do get in touch – I’d be delighted to speak with you as to how I can help. Or, if you’re a company or educational provider and wish to further the vocal skills of people within your organisation, again get in touch – I’d love to help you achieve your objectives. |
