About Steve
Originally from Central Scotland, Steve is not only an experienced and renowned vocal coach, but is a seasoned performer as a vocalist, pianist and MD for over 15 years.
As well as being a CMT in Estill Voice Training, Steve has a First Class B.Mus (Hons.) in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music through studying at the iconic Sage Gateshead. There, he majored in Piano Performance with Composition and Arranging also a significant focus of study. Indeed, he is a specialist in arranging and composing for voice, vocal harmony groups and wider instrumental based ensembles, while providing musical direction and coaching for all of the above too. |

Lecturing & Coaching
As a Lecturer, Course Tutor and Guest Speaker, Steve has provided specialised lectures, training, workshops and professional masterclasses to lecturers and students alike in Higher & Further Education, professional vocalists and vocal coaches, health practitioners and corporate clients. Much of this training focuses on developing a greater understanding of: the voice, vocal mechanics & anatomy, strengthening technique with regards to extending the range, and improving vocal health. Steve also lectures on topics such as writing and arranging for voice/ensembles, leading ensembles as a vocalist and developing performance skills. |
